Global discussions about the future of professional employment, societal changes, and economic performance are dominated by artificial intelligence and automation. In this essay the role of emerging AI and Big data in healthcare has been discussed. The goal of this study was to examine advantages and difficulties of AI in healthcare in near future. Potential advantage of advanced data analytics and machine learning has been discussed in context of recently published research. The naïve Bayes algorithm is used as an example to explain the mechanics behind heart disease prediction. Different issues related to ethical concern and potential roles of professionals and specialist in the age of artificial intelligence has been identified and elaborately discussed.
